Why Your Fatigue Isn’t Getting Better at the Doctor’s Office

What is an Entrepreneur?

Everyone talks about being an entrepreneur like it’s about business strategy, freedom, and either abject poverty or unimaginable wealth.

But for me?

It all started as a medical provider in a state of desperation. I was sick of being forced to deliver primary care like I was working a drive-thru window—serving fast-food medicine.

In 2016, I launched Phoenix Rising with the conviction that I’d discovered a more effective approach: a clinic model that provided patients with more time to be heard, educated, and ultimately heal.

And yes—it was a huge improvement.

But after several years, something still felt off.

I was becoming disheartened watching too many people—especially women—walk out of my office still depleted, still tired, already booking their next visit before they even made it to the parking lot.

Despite the labs.

The walking appointments.

The extended visits.

The supplement support.

The presence.

The honesty.

They needed more.

And truthfully? So did I.

I left the traditional medical system to build Phoenix Rising—a clinic that aligned with my values: whole-person healing, nervous system care, longer visits, fewer prescriptions, and work-life balance.

It worked… until it didn’t.

Because the system wasn’t just broken out there—it was broken in me.

In the way I’d internalized being The Rescuer. The Fixer. The Healer. The Responsible One. The Solution.

That kind of pressure—whether placed on me by myself or others—slowly eroded my energy… then my passion… then my hope.

Over time, that fierce vision started to crumble under the weight of:

  • Holding space for crisis after crisis

  • Navigating high-conflict personalities

  • Pretending 30–60 minutes was “enough”

  • Ping-ponging from a hysterical stuffy nose to a stoic metastatic cancer diagnosis (God help me)

  • Running a business, a family, and a body with a broken energy map

The honest truth?

People didn’t just need me.

They needed themselves.

Their own agency.

Their own rhythm.

Their own healing compass.

Their own accountability.

Their own self-compassion.

Their own courage.

Their own discipline.

Their own love.

Their own forgiveness.

They needed a community, a space, and a biological reset—a space that helps them find their own Capital-S Self (my term for the part of themselves that is love, spirit, and quiet, knowing intuition).

Not outsource it to another system or another person (even an enthusiastic one).

So I built The Energy Generator.

Not because I had spare time.

Not because it made sense on paper.

But because it wouldn’t leave me alone.

Because women deserve a roadmap that actually works.

Not another tracker.

Not a supplement stack.

A way back to energy—cell by cell.

I still love medicine.

But I love women’s liberation more.

And healing from burnout isn’t about “self-care.”

It’s about biology, rhythm, sovereignty, and safety.

It’s about learning to trust yourself again—even when you’re tired, foggy, or unsure.

If that hits something real in you, I hope you’ll stick around.

I’ve got a lot more to say. And none of it fits into 90 seconds or a trending sound.

XO – Dani
